Guyana created history on March 23, 2019 at the National Track And Field Centre, Leonora when they defeated Belize by a 2 – 1 margin and secured a place at the Concacaf Gold Cup, a feat accomplished for the first time by this football nation.
It was a night of excitement and superb play by teams who demonstrated a hunger to represent their respective nations at the premiere event of the Concacaf region.
At the end of the night, it was Guyana who triumphed.
