The Guyana Football Federation Inc. successfully held the third in a series of “Kool Kidz” Grassroots Outreach programme at the St. Phillips Green yestersay attracting over 50 participants. The session catered to children from the Leopold Street, Smyth, Princess and Hadfield Streets, Brickdam and surrounding areas and was done in partnership with the Guyana Beverages Inc.
Today, some members of Guyana’s National Senior Women’s team – The ‘Lady Jags’ – visited the session, interacted with the kids and two offered words of encouragement. Lakeisha Pearson and Odessa Romeo urged the participants to stay in school, be disciplined and work hard to achieve their goals.
President Wayne Forde was also on hand to offer moral support and observe the session.
The session was conducted by GFF’s Technical Development and Youth Development Officers respectively.
