The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) / FIFA Refereeing Assistance Programme (RAP) commenced on Wednesday, 29th August, 2018 at the Conference Room, Critchlow Labour College, Woolford Avenue.
Preceding the session was an opening ceremony with remarks from GFF’s President, Wayne Forde and Peter Prendergast, FIFA’s Technical Instructor and facilitator of the session.
The programme features 35 referees including four Targeted Referees and those from Tier One and will consist of classroom and field sessions. A fitness test is also scheduled for Thursday.
The RAP is a capacity building programme which seeks to create uniformity among elite referees and enable same to meet the demands of the game.
